About this Gallery

Swiss Bank

These are photographs of one of the most appealing construction sites I've ever seen. The site was a new bank building in Geneva, and for the drape cloth over the in-progress building frame, some ingenious designer had thought to use the figures of cultural heroes from various international currencies. Very handsome, especially with the other ingredients: a bright red construction bucket, going up and down, the faces on a perfume advertisement, and a grid of various guy wires. Among the currency figures, I recognize Erasmus and George Washington. Who isthe distinguished Asian man?
