About this Gallery

Words

These photographs are words and phrases photographed from daily newspapers, including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. The words are photographed just beyond the capacity of my macro lens so they are slightly blurry. What I like about these blurs is the ambiguity that comes into the meaning of the word, a sense that its meaning is partial, or arriving, or in some state of flux, so often the condition of meaning.
